We have spent more than thirty-five years doing one thing: getting the right pack around the right product, on time and on budget.
A&M Packaging is Australian owned and operated. We work with local manufacturers who need a hundred thousand pouches a year and with global suppliers who need a single trial run proven before it scales. The same team handles both, which is why a job does not get handed between departments every time a question comes up.
What we actually do
Most of our customers arrive with a product and a rough idea of the pack. What they need is someone to translate that into a structure, a material specification and a print process that survives contact with a real production line — and then to run it.

Our background
A&M Packaging was established in 1989 to make flexible packaging for Australian food businesses, and that is still the work: food manufacturers, coffee roasters, pet food producers and retail brands, from small start-ups to large national manufacturers.
Over the years the job has grown from the pack itself to everything around it: packaging design and product development, graphic design, laboratory testing and quality assurance, with FSSC 22000 certified processes. We print, laminate, slit and convert in Oakleigh South, Melbourne, and deliver to Victoria, New South Wales, Queensland, Western Australia, South Australia, Tasmania and the Northern Territory.
The range runs from stand-up pouches, coffee bags with valves and vacuum bags to flow wrap, lidding film for CPET, PP and PET trays, shrink films, rewind rolls and paper bags, in runs from a first trial to full production.

Where we’re heading
• More recycle-ready packs. Move more of the range onto recyclable mono-material laminates, paper bags with windows and paper flow wrap, without giving up shelf life.
• From idea to proof, faster. Our online 3D designer shows your artwork on the pack before you ask for a price, so the first proof is closer to right.
• Made here. Keep printing, lamination and conversion in Melbourne, so quality and lead times stay in our hands.
How we work
• Specify before quoting. We would rather ask about fill method and shelf life first than re-quote after a failed trial.
• Proof, then print. Nothing goes to press without artwork signed off, and colour is measured against your brand standard rather than judged by eye.
• Hold stock if it helps. Run the economic quantity, draw it down as you need it, and keep your floor space free.
Sustainability
Recycle-ready mono-material structures and compostable films are available across most of our range. We will tell you plainly where a claim holds up against the recovery stream your customers actually have access to, and where it does not.
